Please use Internet Explorer to view the M-series DVR because ActiveX is required. Make sure ActiveX options are enabled in the browser's security settings.

To view and manage an M-series DVR, you can also download ViViewer and install it. To view our test site, run ViViewer and create a site with the following IP address: 80.177.69.25. The DVR type should be set to Vi-M3 and the ports should be set to 9112 and 9113.

The Vi-M series Digital Video Recorders (DVR) use the latest MPEG recording technology to compress the maximum amount of video at the highest quality and the highest frame rates onto the hard drives. At the same time the latest SATA hard drives are used, providing reliability and a wide choice of capacity to suit the needs of the installation and the budget. Hard drives in all Videoswitch DVRs are removable to allow easy replacement and upgrade. Automatic monitoring of drives is featured and the user is alerted if replacement is due.

Removable Hard Drives
The M-series DVRs have a new arrangement for changing hard drives which is quick, easy and requires no tools at all except for the security key.

• The Vi-M1 accepts a single SATA hard drive, accessible by removing the cover and releasing with thumb screws. No screwdrivers or other tools are required.
• The Vi-M2, Vi-M3 and Vi-M4 all employ a dual drive bay that accepts two SATA hard drives on quick-load drawers. No screwdrivers or other tools are required.
