CMOR Innovative Design
No DIP switch settings - the CMOR Evolution features auto protocol, auto-baud and auto-address detection. There is no need to open the dome to set any DIP switches. Just install it and it will auto-detect the protocol and the baud rate. The dome address can be set via the dome menu.
The innovative patented design enables long distance IR (up to 100m with 830nm IR) to always track the dome movement ensuring full 360° pan and 90° tilt coverage now up to 360° per second.
Cutting edge design enables the CMOR® IR Dome to be extremely energy efficient whilst significantly reducing light pollution. The amount of light directed to the scene being viewed would require huge amounts of lighting using the old 'flood' approach. This means that not only is the picture and range much improved, but the CMOR® IR Dome is greener too, using much less energy.
The new CMOR D3 is a further development, providing fast, smooth and more precise movement, auto protocol detection and increased reliability as a result of the reduction in mechanical complexity. The waterproof sealing system has been upgraded throughout to provide all weather protection.
The CMOR D3X is a version of the dome without the IR lighting, providing a cost-effective alternative to other leading industry standard domes where built-in IR is not required.
CMOR Dome is green as well as being a lower cost solution
This shows a typical plan view of an installation with a CMOR dome mounted on the corner of a building (using Vi-B2 wall bracket and a Vi-B5 corner adaptor). The diagram illustrates how the CMOR dome with its built-in IR requires much less power to illuminate its target then a conventional dome with conventional IR illumination. A horizontal view would show a similar thing in the vertical plane.

CMOR dome solution
If a CMOR dome is used, the light is all directed to where the camera is pointing and the CMOR dome is capable of seeing across an area of 200metres wide in complete darkness.
Conventional dome and fixed IR lighting solution
If conventional, fixed flood lighting were to be used instead, the IR lamps would have to be specified with a power rating of nearly 60 times greater to achieve the same quality of images. As well as being more expensive to buy and run, most of the light output would be completely wasted. If the dome were located where a full 360 degrees of coverage is present, even more IR power would be required, whereas the CMOR dome would perform just as well with no change. This illustrates that the CMOR dome provides a much "greener" and cost-effective solution compared with conventional options.
Cameras The CMOR dome is available with different camera options. Note that the 18:1 models have greater night-time sensitivity than the 26:1 and 36:1 models.
- 18:1 Zoom
- 28:1 Zoom
- 36:1 Zoom

IR Illumination Two different wavelengths of IR illumination are available. The standard 830nm suits most applications where a small residual red glow is not an issue. Where the light must be completely invisible to the eye, such as in railway applications, the 940nm option may be specified as a special order option.
- 830nm - Standard option for up to 100m range in complete darkness
- 940nm - Complete covert option, typically for railway use

Accessories A range of mounting options are available for wall mount, pendant mount, swan-neck, pole mount and corner mount. Special heritage brackets are available to special order.
